In this article, we describe what ID filtering is, how it works, and the requirements for using it in WealthEngine Screening
What is ID filtering in screening
In order to avoid duplicate records being screened by using Screening credits, we strongly recommend including Unique IDs in the input file. This way, duplicate records that have already been screened can be identified as duplicates and removed from future screenings. Additionally, UID's are important when importing the results to your CRM or DMS
How ID filtering works & it's requirements
- The Input file must contain unique ID's for the records being screened
- The unique ID's can be passed in 2 ways
Type 1: Including both ID's column A & B in the input template. Essentially this becomes one big ID for filtering (whatever is used in both column A and B)
User Supplied ID
User Supplied ID 2
Type 2: Including single ID, either User Supplied ID or User Supplied ID 2
If you switch between types of sending the ID's,(Type 1 & Type 2) you will end up with partial matches and the records will not be filtered out.
Note: All screening jobs must include the IDs using the method either Type 1 or Type 2. Please note that, It deduplicates the records only against previously screened records, and not within the same file.
ID Filter should recognize the Client ID (record number) as being previously screened and skip re-screening the same record If present in the new file.
How to setup ID filtering
Your account representative or Customer Support Team should be able to enable ID filtering in your account.
