This article will explore the types of Lists within My Profiles and their intended purposes.
In basic terms, there are two types of lists: Default Lists and Custom Lists. Default lists are at the account level and cannot be renamed; they are visible to all users across the account. Conversely, Custom Lists are those you create by pulling a Prospect list or by uploading a Screening list, or by creating a custom list to transfer records from one list to another. Custom lists can be modified and shared as needed.
1. Unlisted: This default list preserves all the searches you've saved, and its name cannot be altered. However, you retain the ability to transfer profiles from this list to a new one.
- Note: Once the records in the list are transferred to other lists, the Unlisted folder will disappear from My Profiles. To bring it back, you'll need to save a new profile.
2. Inner Circle: This default list contains all the Inner Circle members you've created. You can populate your IC list by searching for members within the WE platform or by performing a bulk upload using the IC template. This feature is designed to identify warm introductions by highlighting connections between your leads and friends of your organization. It enables to identify individuals with whom special cultivation efforts can be made.

3. Major Donor: This default list contains all the Major Donors you've created. You can populate your MD list by searching for members within the WE platform or by performing a bulk upload using the MD template. Your Major Donor list is simply made up of individuals who are involved in your organization’s Major Donor program.

4. API: The API list serves as a default repository for storing the screening results done via WE and Salesforce integration. Screening the records in Salesforce generate snapshots in WealthEngine within the API list, ensuring that results are available in both WE and SF.
- Note: Modifying the list name is restricted however the records in the API list can be moved to other lists
5. Prospect List: This is a custom list, and the pie-chart icon signifies the Prospect list you've created in your account. Hover your cursor over the icon to identify its type. You can generate a Prospect list of new profiles or potential leads by querying the WealthEngine database using Prospect credits.
6. Screening List: This is a custom list, and the 3 lines icon signifies the Screened List you've created in your account. Hover your cursor over the icon to identify its type. You can generate a Screening list by uploading your contacts or profiles to WealthEngine Screening tool by using Data Services screening credits.
7. User Generated List : A user-generated list is a customized collection of items, such as searched profiles, screened records, or prospects, created by an individual user according to their specific criteria or preferences. These lists can be tailored to meet specific needs and are often used for organizing and managing data effectively.
